The 2016 RAM 2500 offers a variety of different configurations and components for the buyers to choose from for the interior of the truck. The other two engines are considered an upgrade choice. The 5.7-liter can accelerate to 383 horsepower with 400 pound-feet of torque. This engine comes with a six-speed automatic transmission which helps with handling and performance of the truck. The 6.4-liter engine drives with 410 horsepower and has 429 pound-feet of torque. This engine is also built with an impressive six speed automatic transmission.  Lastly, the 6.7-liter can accelerate to 350 horsepower and use up to 660 pound-feet of torque. This engine also offers a six speed automatic transmission but also gives a manual transmission option. Due to engine size and what transmission the buyer gets the average amount that the RAM 2500 can transport is about 3,990 pounds.Five of the seven trim levels offered for the 2500 model come standard with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. However, the Tradesman and Power Wagon trims only come equipped with four-wheel drive.
