Explorer The 2026 Jeep Recon: A Fully Electric EV With Real World Range
Jeep is entering a new era by creating their first fully electric and trail rated SUV. And this is not just a revival of the previous Recon. This new and improved SUV is entering a class of its own. Jeep has always been known for its off roading capabilities and open air design. That said, the all electric 2026 Jeep Rubicon is all of those things with electric flair and innovative technology. In this article, you're going to learn everything about New Electric Rubicon and how it fits into the future of the Jeep brand. From design, electric powertrain, off-roading, and technology. Let's learn more about the 2026 Jeep Rubicon:
Heritage Meets Modern EV Styling
When it comes to the New Jeep Recon design, it retains several of it's Jeep design cues while adding a modern EV twist. It's a Jeep, so of course its going to come with its iconic 7 slot grille, daytime running lights, and signature Jeep stance. However, these features have been amplified with LED illumination and a boxy EV design. Another kept feature about the new Jeep Recon is it's removable doors rear quarter glass. and swing gate glass. This only emphasis the "open air" concept that Jeep has maintained throughout the years. You'll also get a dual pane panoramic sunroof with a "sky one touch power top".
Electrified Performance & Powertrain
The most noteworthy part about the return of the Recon is it's bold shift into the EV market. It features a 400 volt 100.5 kWh battery pack under the hood delivering an output of 650 horsepower and 620 lb-ft of torque. This allows the Recon to propel from 0-60mph in 3.6 seconds. In terms of range, you can expect 230 miles on a full charge making it perfect for everyday drivers. And the best part? It's Trail Rated, so owners still get the benefits of an Electric SUV while still enjoying the open air freedom that comes with owning a Jeep.
Off-Road Capability & Trail Ready Design
Like mentioned earlier the 2026 Jeep Recon is Trail Rated. Even though the 2026 Recon is all electric, it doesn't compromise the off-road performance Jeep is known for. It comes equipped with the trademark Select-Terrain traction management System. This helps drivers tackle various kinds of terrain. Standard drive modes cover Auto, Snow, Sand/Mud and Sport. There is also a Moab trim that adds a dedicated "Rock" mode for rugged terrain. The Recon also offers a ground clearance of 9.1 inches along with skid plates and rugged terrain tires.
Interior, Tech & Practicality
When creating the interior cabin of the Jeep Recon, Jeep had to make sure the technology was more advanced then it ever has been. And boy did they deliver. The infotainment system runs on the latest Uconnect 5 technology. This system does a great job running in conjunction with Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto. It also includes the new Trails Offroad App allowing access to the Jeep Rubicon USA guided off road trails. And lets not forget about the cargo. With synthetic leather the cabin is durable and scuff resistant, making it perfect for rugged adventure.
